My So-Called Internet Based Life
Weekend

Good weekend, wow. And Zach doesn’t hate me anymore! Or probably never did, but I think he was angry and hurt and it was probably better that we didn’t hang out for a couple of weeks. But I should start at the beginning.

Friday I was so, so sad all morning – anyone who saw my previous entry would know that. By noon though I had pretty much accepted that there was nothing I could do about the whole situation but try and keep myself in a comfortable state of mind about the entire stupid thing. Had a good conversation with Naomi along those lines and she agreed.

Did nothing that afternoon at work, and then went over to Curt’s apartment to plan dinner while he cleaned their kitchen. I was trying to find a recipe for shrimp fra diavolo, but I didn’t like any of the ones I found, so decided I was just going to make it up. Basically super garlicky red sauce with shrimp. It was really good, and we had lots of wine and just had a quiet night at home. Which is exactly what I needed because I was just mentally worn out.

Saturday woke up early but didn’t get out of bed until 12:30 – just kind of read, and hung out with Curt all morning. He was nice and brought me coffee so I didn’t even have to leave his room, hee. Finally he sent me home so he could go Christmas shopping for his family and I pretty much just wasted all of Saturday until he called to have me come over so we could go out that night. Went to Wh33lers for dinner, which was AMAZING, and then to La Buve++e for a couple of glasses of wine. It was fun, James was our server and he is such a blast anyway, not to mention he was all buzzed up on beer from the Upstre@m he was drinking throughout the night.

After that, we headed to the Crescent M00n to meet up with Zach and Katie, Adam and Sara, Adam’s friend Tim, and some other random people for this chick’s graduation party. I was nervous about seeing Zach but we really did have to go and see this guy Tim – he’s been in Florida for a long time and they haven’t hung out in a long time. But it was ok! We caught up on what is going on in our lives, and he’s so happy with Katie, and we had lots of Ke+el One and tonics, and then went back to Curt and Adam’s apartment with everyone to hang out. And it wasn’t odd or awkward so I think we can hang out in the future, which makes me very happy.

I don’t think our friendship is the same as it was – we obviously won’t spend as much time together, but at the same time, we can hang out, which is good. And we can still talk because we understand each other – there are so many things that happened in the last year that only Zach really GETS, because he was there, you know? So this makes me very happy. Naomi too, because she was worried she was going to have to figure out a way to get Zach and I to split our time hanging out with them, which would be a nightmare.

Brunch at the R@dial on Sunday, and then just lazed around at my parent’s house – took a bath and painted my nails. Whee. Curt’s work Christmas party was that night, and his co-workers are fun but slightly insane. So yeah, good weekend.
