I am being such a slacker on updating here… happy new year, everyone! Sorry I suck at updating. Anyway.

New Year’s Eve was nice – we made fun food, shrimp with garlic butter and havarti, and kabobs, and a bunch of little plates of munchie things – hummus, roasted red peppers, pickled garlic, pickled asparagus, kalamata olives… yum. Amanda & Ryan, Andrew & Ryan, Chad & Katrina, and Curt and I were there and we had lots of fun. Drinking and playing Taboo and eating and talking – it was great. Katrina passed out on the couch sitting up with a wine glass in her hand still and there are all kinds of pictures of me wearing a cowboy hat towards the end of the night. It was just that kind of evening, you know?

New years day we lay around and watched Queer Eye all day long. It was wonderful.

Friday I had to work, which sucked, but I got a lot done because there were a lot of people out. That night we went to see Lord of the Rings again, because Adam and Sara and Curt all have the plague or some other gross, snot-dripping hacking illness so they didn’t want to go out. Plus I had to go to this stupid alcohol education class on Saturday from 8.30 to4, which means I had to get up early so it was probably better that way anyway.

Saturday went to my education class. It was boring & uninformative, but I had to do it to fulfill my probation conditions, so whatever. I got my certificate, that’s all that counts right? Went to Express and bought a sheer cowl neck shirt and a button down shirt that I had to return because it won’t go over my boobs. Like, at all. It fits perfectly around my waist/ribs but I’d be arrested for indecent exposure if I wore it out of my house. Wouldn’t even BUTTON. Sigh. Anyway, after my adventures there I went over to the place where I’m housesitting – got settled in a bit over there, played with the dog, and then went to pick up curt to go bowling with Amanda, Ryan, and Chad.

I am the Worst Bowler in the World, gah. How depressing. But then we got some food and drinks at another bar, then went to Chad’s to have Tetris Tournament 2004! It was a lot of fun but man, I think I am addicted to Tetris. Back to housesitting place about midnight with boy and we slept FOREVER, till 11:00 the next morning.

Sunday went to the gym to get weighed and measured, brunch, home. Very exciting afternoon. That night we went to Chad’s to watch Sex and the City, and Mitch and Naomi are back! Yaaaaaaaaaay! I was so glad to see them. I think we are going to hang out tonight also… must go to gym though. Also I told them about the not applying to law school/probably moving in with curt plan and they were both very supportive. Hooray for friends.

My 11:30 closing is laaaaaaaaate. What the hell?
