2004-01-07 9:12 a.m. I love posting comments in people’s L1veJournals, when you post one it says “Success!” and for some reason that makes me laugh. It’s the little things, I tell ya. So I’ve been really good so far about going to the gym (well, two days in a row. Yay!) but very terrible about eating. Like, Very Very Very Terrible – had Taco Bell for lunch yesterday, ew. And then stuffing and sausage for dinner. And a glass of wine and two beers, sigh. But then again, I figure if I’m going to the gym, perhaps I can keep up my craptastic eating habits and still lose some weight. Actually, I don’t even care if I lose pounds as long as I look better nekkid. A good goal, yes? This whole gym thing is kind of weird. Where is this motivation to work out coming from? I don’t get it but I guess I shouldn’t question and just go with it. Curt is being very encouraging too, so that helps. Erika and I set up a blog to track our goals – it’s like a little online to-do list, which is pretty cool. Not just about working out though, other life stuff too. Last night after I got home from the gym, we met Mitch, Naomi, and Maneesh downtown at the Fr3nch Café – their happy hour is from 9 to 1 and the drinks are half price then, which is cool because they have a great wine list but it’s normally a little pricy. Had a drink there and then went to the G00fy Foot and had a couple of beers and watched karaoke – Katie and Zach were there by then and she sang. I love watching it but man, I don’t think I could ever get up there and sing. Terrifying. Unfortunately, even though we only had 2 drinks each there, we stayed until last call anyway. Very tired. It was fun though, and Zach and I actually got along, chatted some, etc. Entering a new phase in our friendship I guess was going to take some time but it looks like it’ll happen – we needed a transition I suppose from living together and being around each other all the time to living separately and both of us having relationships and whatnot. But everything seems to be good, so yay for that too. Ugh. Have to do some work now. Wednesday – only 2.5 more days until the weekend.
