My So-Called Internet Based Life
lots of wine.

I have a sudden urge for jewelery. Have been perusing tiffany stuff on Ebay all morning… I need to win the lottery. Or find a very rich boyfriend – too bad I kind of like the one I’ve already got.

Anyway. Weekend was good… lots of fun.

Friday we went to La Buve++e about 7 – we just sat and talked, mostly about my questions about the future. While we were doing so, we shared two bottles of wine, eek. So we were feeling pretty happy anyway, and went to M’s Pub to continue the night, and had a cocktail each and a glass of wine each and some lavosh, at which time it was 12:30 and we were wasted. So we had the waiter call us a cab, checked that my car wasn’t going to get towed the next morning, and went home.

Saturday work up very very very early, which was annoying, but I finished reading “Bridget J0nes’ Diary” while Curt slept. That was fun, what a funny book. I should see the movie sometime, really. He got up about 9:30 because he had to work at 11, and dropped me off at my car about 10:15.

My car which now has no driver’s side mirror. Fucking late night frat boy barhoppers knocked it off – there is no way someone hit me. I was in a diagonal parking space and there weren’t any scratches on the car, just my side mirror hanging by a cable. So annoyed about that – I need my side mirror to parallel park, dammit! It will be $125 to replace it, plus labor. Anyway, so I went home then and used some bolt cutter thing my dad had in the garage to cut the mirror off, and then my sister and I had breakfast at IHOP.

Took a long nap, then went to the gym that afternoon, and that night was Mitch and Zach’s first DJ gig at the G00fy Foot. It went really well, everyone was enjoying the music and the bar was PACKED. They are going to try and get something going regularly there, probably once a month.

Sunday we met Mitch & Naomi & Manesh for brunch at McFoster’s and then spent the afternoon shopping and hanging out. That night we made tons of casseroles and drank wine in a box during Sex and the City, totally white trash but it was a lot of fun. Wine in a box isn’t very strong though, the 7 of us finished 5 liters and no one was even drunk. Hm.

Today is annoying me, but not as much as my old job, so thank god for that. I hate office politics and the gossiping she-said-this-oh-my-god garbage. I also hate it when DC says things like “Well, HUD won’t allow us to do that” without offering me anything in writing and implying through her tone that I am a moron. I just started a month ago! If you don’t give me anything telling me what HUD will and won’t let us do, I am never going to know. Don’t treat me like an idiot if you’re not giving me the proper resources to do my job.

Must win lottery asap.
