2004-02-09 3:27 p.m. When you check the weather channel’s website, you can input your zip code and it will say hello to you and tell you what the weather is in your area. There is this little area to click off to the side that says “Change My Location” also. Wouldn’t it be cool if that worked like a transport or something? Click on a link on weather.com and poof! I’m in London. That would rule. It doesn’t work though. It just shows you the weather when you do that. Blast. Weekend was good, I am not nearly as sick as I was earlier this week except my voice is almost totally gone so I sound like some weird combination of Scarlett Johanssen and a pre-pubescent boy. Yippee. But I feel lots better. I wish I had some M&Ms. Yum. Anyway, Friday we had dinner at Mark’s again, and then went to the Dell and had some drinks, but it was so loud there we couldn’t hear each other talk. So we decided to leave and go to the Old Dund33 with my cousins. That was fun but we drank way too much and were totally stumbling across the street by the time we left the bar. Oy, too many Irish Car Bombs. Saturday had breakfast with the boyfriend, then went home and watched TV and did laundry. Mucho exciting day. That night was my grandmother’s 80th birthday party, which was actually lots of fun and not nearly the family torture I envisioned. And everyone was nice to the boyfriend and my mother loves him, which is nice. We were home pretty early and just watched SNL and then went to bed, which was also nice after the wildness of the night before. Got up early on Sunday and went to brunch, there were only 2 other tables there. So weird, when we go at the normal time (around noon) it’s packed, but apparently no one else normally gets up at 9:00 either. Oh well. Went back to his place and snuggled on the couch and took a long nap until he had to go to work, then I went home and screwed around for a few hours… a very unproductive day but it was relaxing at least. And here I am back at work. Tonight I get to go back to the gym, yay! I haven’t gone in like 10 days because of the stupid snow and being sick. My pilates teacher isn’t even going to recognize me anymore. The boyfriend and I have decided to take a couple of weeks break from going out – it’s getting too expensive, and I need to get the state paid off so that we can get an apartment and I can get the hell out of my parent’s basement. He’s being really awesome about it – I think it’ll work. Plus that means we can cook more, which means I will talk about food more here (nyaaah! I know it makes breana hungry…) but that’s ok. It has to be done.
