2004-02-23 10:05 a.m. I am such a terrible dland slacker. Sigh. In summary: Ø New job is starting March 1. I have quit this job & so am now insanely busy trying to write down what I do for the people covering for me when I leave. Am very excited about the opportunity & will write more about the specifics probably some other time, when I’m not at this job. Ø The boyfriend is fabulous. Ø We haven’t been doing hardly anything for the past week – my days are like this: Work. Gym. Dinner with boy. Hang out with boy. Sleep. Get up. Go to my parents’ house to shower & change & get ready for work. Repeat, daily. Ø I’ve been admitted to UNO and will be taking a class there this summer, probably business law in the evening to see if I like it. Ø The boy is probably going to go back to school next winter – he had a minor in computer science in college that he wants to turn into a bachelor’s degree. Either that or a masters; he’s going to talk to an advisor at UNO this week. Ø We’ve picked a few neighborhoods to look for apartments & have started scouting buildings. Move in date sometime late April/early may. This weekend was quiet – Friday dinner at Mitch & Naomi’s house (linguine with clam sauce, yum. Recipe here) and then some wine and listened to music for a few hours. Saturday had dinner, watched Amer1can P1e and then went to the 49er to hear a hippie jam band play. They were ok but I don’t really like hippie jam bands, so we went home early and were in bed by 1:00. Nice. Brunch yesterday to discuss all this school stuff & budgets for apartments. Whee. I think it’ll be ok though – we’re talking about what we want & planning things to be ok while he’s in school, before I get my bonus at the end of the year, etc. Everything is going to work out, I think. This is new, I am not used to being content & feeling ok about things. I kind of like it though.
