I am such an updating slacker. But really, it is so true that nothing and everything are happening all at once. So it’s hard to do a brief update, and I want to explain everything but I want to give it the full treatment. La di dah. So there you go, more than a week between updates. No excuse really but that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

So what’s been going on. Whee. On Thursday July 1 I quit my old job. That was nice. My boss was snarly and rude but really, what could he say? His loss anyway.

I had Friday off then, which was awesome, and I mostly just ran errands and shopped all day. I bought a shirt for curt to wear to the wedding that night, and a new dress and some jewelry for me to wear that night also. And some champagne, yum. Love champagne.

Got home about 5:00 just as the monsoon was starting. So I got all prettified and prayed for the rain to stop so as not to ruin my lovely hair and makeup, and the bastard rain didn’t stop so we just left anyway and I carried a newspaper over my head because I can’t find my umbrella. I’m not even sure I have an umbrella anymore.

So wedding that night. Played in the yard on Saturday. Sunday, which was actually the fourth, I worked at tarjay but I got to go home early – yay! Then we went to blow stuff up with some of Curt’s friends and ate lots of ribs.

Monday we were both off and were going to go to the pool, but it rained like crazy and so we just played in the house.

Tuesday of last week I started my new job, and it has just been crazy. I like the people I work with, we have been going to lunch and harassing each other just like we used to at the old place. It is busy and hectic to be back in closings, but I’m liking it much more – the environment alone is such a bonus, never mind the lack of Mick and the cool people too.

So yeah. That’s what I’ve been doing during my lack of updating. Not terribly exciting, but this is my life, and I’m here living it up in good old Nebraska. Hopefully I will update more frequently.
